Yes, there are lizards in Texas

For my nephew Dallas who doesn't believe me there are lizards in my backyard. This one crawled on our window while we were eating dinner so we snapped a picture.

Austin loves your lizard. Wishes he could come see it for real.

You should come see it for real! To answer the DC question-- Chad was offered the job as an Economist for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. We accepted and they started the background check in April 06. The process for top secret takes approx 1-1.5 years to complete. In Aug 06 we were just waiting around in College Station and Chad was asked to interview for a couple of jobs here. After much careful thought and prayer--we decided to accept the job here --which he could start right away. He is very happy with his choice and loves his job now. We are confident he would have received full clearance for DC and it would have been fun but we didn't want to wait forever. We believe it all worked out for the best.
